The Borough Council's Economic Development Section is committed to a broad range of activities to promote local economic development. Amongst the activities carried out is the provision of advice and guidance on economic issues ranging from advice on grants, land and premises to promotion of tourism in the area. Such activities are aimed at helping local people win better jobs, increase levels of income, improve business confidence, attract new businesses to the area and provide support and assistance to companies and community groups in the area.
