Integrated Local Strategy |
The Partnership is in the final stages of developing the 'First Steps to an Integrated Local Strategy for Antrim Borough'. A total of 5 key themes have been identified and are summarised below. Each key theme has a set of key actions, which may be found in the full strategy document. To date an initial round of public consultations has given residents, statutory bodies and others an opportunity to identify key issues. | Sustainable, Vibrant Economy | To create a vibrant and competitive local economy including a strong business sector, a well-qualified workforce and competitive businesses. | | A well-developed and dynamic tourism sector | To develop the tourism potential of Antrim Borough in a sustainable way so that we can increase the number of visitors and their economic impact. | | An attractive and welcoming Borough incorporating thriving towns, villages and rural areas | To develop the image of the Borough as an attractive place in which to work, live and play with reinvigorated towns and villages and rural settlements. | | A thriving and sustainable community & voluntary sector through the Borough | To build up a strong community infrastructure across the Borough and to ensure that information, services and facilities are accessible to everyone. | | A healthy & flourishing population | To have a healthy and flourishing population, enjoying a good quality of life living in an attractive, peaceful and sustainable environment. | If you would like to receive a copy of the Interim Integrated Strategy, please send your details to partnership@antrim.gov.uk
