Environmental Health

The Environmental Health Team is committed to contributing to the mission of Antrim Borough Council. Our aim is to protect, improve and promote the health, safety and well-being of all who live in or come into the Borough each day to work or visit.

The Council has assigned a high priority to these responsibilities and has developed a wide range of services aimed at promoting a safe and healthy environment.

The Team is committed to delivering high quality services in an economic and efficient manner. We are also committed to providing as much information as possible about the services to the general public.
TheTeam reports on a monthly basis to the Environmental Services Committee Meeting.

Although the majority of operational decisions are delegated to competent staff the decision to proceed with formal cautions of legal proceedings is presented via report to elected members with a recommendation from the Team. Any recommendation is based on the principles of the Enforcement Policy.
