Public Registers

Litter Registers

The Litter (N.I) Order 1994 requires a register to be maintained in relation to areas, which are designated as Litter Control Areas under Article 10 of the Order and Street Control Notices issued under Article 13 of the Order. The register is available for viewing at the Council Offices during opening hours by any person without a fee.

Environment and Safety Information (Northern Ireland) Order 1983

The above Order requires a register to be maintained an any notice issued under Article 23 and 24 of the Health and Safety at work (N.I.) Order 1978. The register is available for viewing at the Council Offices during opening hours by any person without a fee.

Licensed Caravan Sites

There are currently no sites which are required to be licensed by the District Council.

Dog License database

Food Premises Register

The Food Premises (Registration) Regulations (N.I.) 1992 requires a register to be maintained of food businesses which are required to be registered. The register is available for viewing at the Council Offices during opening hours by any person without a fee.

Integrated Pollution Control - Process Authorisations

The Industrial Pollution Control (N.I.) Order 1997 requires District Councils to maintain a
register containing particulars relating to the following:-

  • Applications for authorisations made to the Council.
  • Applications which have been granted by the Council.
  • Variation notices, enforcement notices and prohibition notices issued by the Council.
  • Revocations of authorisations effected by the Council.
  • Appeals under Article 15.
  • Convictions for such offences as prescribed.
  • Information obtained or furnished in pursuance of the conditions of authorisations.
  • Directions given to the authority under any provision of the Order.
  • Prescribed details of any such information held by the Chief Inspector as relates to any process being carried on in this Borough for which the Chief Inspector is responsible for.

The register is available for viewing at the Council Offices during opening hours by any person without a fee.

Licensed Waste Disposal Sites

The Pollution Control and Local government (N.I.) Order 1978 requires each Council to
maintain a register of all disposal licences issued by the Council, which are in force. The
register is available for viewing at the Council Offices during opening hours by any person
without a fee.

Poisons Register

The Poisons (N.I.) Order 1976 requires the Council to maintain a register listing the Sellers of Non-Medicinal Poisons. The register is available for viewing at the Council Offices during opening hours by any person without a fee.
