What is Antrim Sports Advisory Association?
Antrim Sports Advisory Association was established in 1993 as a forum for local sport.
The role of Antrim Sports Advisory Association is to help develop local sport and in particular to:
- Promote appropriate activity courses.
- Promote opportunities for training and education.
- Maintain a record of local sports clubs and contact details.
- Organise the Annual Sports Awards.
- Provide information and advice.
Antrim Sports Advisory Association also acts as the funding body for local sports clubs and individuals, supported by Antrim Borough Council and The Enkalon Foundation, to provide financial assistance for individual performers, specific projects and club development.

Antrim Sports Advisory Association, under the authority of Antrim Borough Council, has responsibility for distributing sports grants to sports clubs and residents from the Antrim Borough.
Applications may be made from clubs based in the Borough who have been affiliated to the Sports Advisory Association for more than three months or by individuals who are resident of the Borough and who belong to an affiliated sports club. Applications from non-affiliated clubs or individuals may also be considered at the discretion of the Association.

Membership is renewable annually on 1st April. New members joining after 1st January will not be asked to pay a renewal fee in the same calendar year.
