Antrim Walk 2008

Join us for the third Antrim Walk and enjoy some of the beautiful scenery that Antrim has to offer.

Walking is an increasingly popular pastime and exercise that people of all ages can enjoy. Being active can bring lots of benefits but taking part in the 2008 Antrim Walk will not only help with fitness but also help support Macmillan Cancer Palliative Care Unit based in the grounds of Antrim Area Hospital. All sponsorship money will be donated to Macmillan Cancer to support this initiative. This year, walkers have a choice of routes - 10 Miles, 6 Miles and a Children's Nature Trail in Antrim Castle Gardens.

Thanks to this year's sponsor, Alburn - Developers of Riverside Mill, Antrim, everyone who participates in the Walk will receive a ticket for the post event BBQ with children's entertainment and a complimentary backpack!

Please note that due to the flood damage along the Six Mile Water River, this year's 6 and 10 mile walks has been changed and will now start at Antrim Stadium, proceed through Antrim Castle Gardens into the grounds of Shane's Castle and will loop back and finish in Clotworthy Arts Centre for a well deserved BBQ.

The Children's Nature Trail has not altered and will remain in Antrim Castle Gardens.

The organisers of the walk would like to extend their sincere thanks to Lord O'Neill and family for kindly allowing the walk to take place in Shane's Castle at such short notice.

Entry Cost:

10 & 6 mile Walk£10 Adult
£4 Child (under 16)
£20 Family Ticket (2 adults and 2 children)
