1. Is there a minimum age to use the Fitness Suite?
The minimum age is 16.
2. Do I need to take an induction?
All new members are required to complete an induction ito be able to use the facilities within the fitness suite.
3. What does the induction involve?
This is an instructional session taken by one of the fitness instructors. It will provide you with guidance on how to setup and use the equipment. As a new member you can discuss your training requirements and request a specific training programme to be developed to help you achieve your goals.
4. How do I book an induction?
Simply call the Fitness Suite on 028 9446 4131.
5. Are there any changing facilities in the Fitness Suite?
Male and female changing and showering facilities are available, including lockers operated by a £1 coin, which is returned at the end of your session. There are also mini-lockers available within the gym which can be used to store valuables. They are operated by a non-returnable 20p coin.
6. Can I book a personal training session with a fitness instructor?
Unfortunately at the moment we cannot offer this service.
7. How long is the minimum contract period?
None of our Direct Debit memberships have a minimum period. We only ask that you process at least one direct debit through your account. If you have taken out a pay up front membership please note that we are unable to refund any portion remaining. We would hope that your membership would be a long one and are always happy to listen to any concerns that you might have and do our very best to deal with them for you.
8. Can I freeze my membership?
In certain circumstances your membership can be frozen for a short period of time. Contact the Membership Advisor for further details.
9. How do I cancel my membership?
If you wish to cancel your membership, you must provide written confirmation. It is necessary to contact the Membership Advisor in order to complete the cancellation process and also to establish when exactly your membership will expire. If you have taken out a pay up front membership please note that we are unable to refund any portion remaining.
10. What do I do if I have a problem with my membership?

11. How Can I Pay?
There are several payment options available including pay up front, monthly direct debits and pay-as-you-go.
12. How does the Direct Debit guarantee work?
This guarantee is offered by all Banks and Building Societies that take part in the Direct Debit Scheme. The efficiency and security of the Scheme is monitored and protected by your own Bank or Building Society.
If the amount to be paid or the payment dates change, Antrim Borough Council will notify you three working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed.
If an error is made by Antrim Borough Council or your Bank or Building Society, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch of the amount paid.
You can cancel a direct debit at any time by writing to your Bank or Building Society. Please also send a copy of your letter to Antrim Forum.
11. Who do I speak to if I have a problem with my direct debit?
Direct debits are processed on behalf of Antrim Borough Council by a company called Harlands. If you experience any problem with your direct debit you can call them directly on 0871 250 1424.
12. How do I make a suggestion for a change or improvement to facilities?
The Membership Advisors are there to ensure that existing members continue to gain the maximum enjoyment and benefit from the facilities. If you have a comment/complaint please speak directly to one of our staff members, complete a comment card and post in one of the comment boxes located throughout the Forum or email your comment to forum@antrim.gov.uk. If you feel your complaint has not been resolved, please contact the Centre Manager directly T. 9446 4131.
