The next National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course will run from 1 November - 8 December 2011 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm-10pm.
The cost for the course is £230 and includes all manuals, assessment fee and unlimited use of the pool throughout the duration of the course.

Swimming Pools
You are sure to make a splash in our swimming pools. The water mushroom, small slide and fountains in the leisure pool create lots of fun for younger children. The 25m main pool is the perfect venue for a relaxing swim.
Swimming Classes
Flippers Swim School is a very popular class and consists of a swim lesson programme for aged 5 and over. The aim is to not only to teach your child the basics of swimming, but to help them progress through the various levels of the Swimming Teacher's Association Swim Teaching Plan (Octopus to Shark). Swimmers can enter at any level of the programme, depending on their ability. All dates are during term times. The times listed are during which the classes are available and might include a number of classes. Simply call into Antrim Forum to register!
Tadpole Club
Learn through fun for babies and children up to 4 years under the guidance of a swimming instructor.
Wednesday & Friday 1230pm to 1pm.

Octopus*
For new swimmers
Tuesday & Wednesday 330pm to 630pm, Thursday 330pm to 430pm & Saturday 930am to 130pm.

Goldfish*
Able to swim 5m on front and back (width of small pool)
Tuesday & Wednesday 330pm to 630pm & Thursday 330pm to 430pm.

Angelfish*
Able to swim 10m on front and back (width of large pool)
Monday 330pm to 430pm, Thursday 430pm to 630pm & Saturday 0930am to 2pm

Shark*
Able to swim 25m of two recognised strokes (2 lengths of large pool)
Thursday 430pm to 630pm & Saturday 0930 to 1130am.

Seals Swim Club
Able to swim 50m of two recognised strokes (2 lengths of large pool)
Monday 430pm to 530pm.

Bronze Medallion*
Should be a strong swimmer using front crawl and breaststroke. Register now to ensure your place on the next course

NPLQ*
National Pool Lifesaving Qualification, for those interested in working within the Leisure Industry. Register now to ensure your place on the next course.

Adults can also take advantage of classes which are aimed at new or nervous swimmers or for those who can swim two widths of the pool but would like to feel more confident or learn new strokes. Extra Tuition is also available in the form of individual lessons.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are there any restrictions on use of the pool?
Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult (16+) in the water at all times. Children must NOT be left alone for any reason. It is the responsibility of the adult in the water to ensure the safety of the children in their care. The following restrictions also apply:

There are fully trained lifeguards in the pool area at all times and they may intervene to prevent any activity which they deem a risk to the wellbeing of pool users.
