Antrim Community Excellence Awards 2012

PAUL CLARK TO HOST ANTRIM COMMUNITY EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Paul Clark will return to Dunadry Hotel on Wednesday 13 June to host the Antrim Community Excellence Awards 2012, in association with Tesco.

Paul is one of Northern Ireland’s most recognisable faces. As a broadcaster and journalist Paul presents the main evening news on UTV. He has worked in broadcasting for more than 30 years and his career has taken him to Dublin with RTÉ and to London with the BBC.

Mayor of Antrim, Councillor Paul Michael comments, “Paul has previously hosted the Awards in 2005 and 2010 and I know he is always greatly impressed at the good work which goes on in our Borough.  The event is a brilliant celebration of what is best about our Borough and that’s the community.  There are many individuals and organisations who contribute so much to the lives of people within the Borough and it is very important that we recognise the work they do.”

Tesco’s Community Champion for Antrim, Lesley Kirkpatrick, added, "We're delighted that Paul Clark is hosting the 2012 Excellence Awards.  Being part of the local community is a priority for Tesco and we support the Awards because they recognise those people who make a difference to the community across the Borough."
