Fairtrade Fortnight 2009 : Fair with Flair |
Antrim Borough Council celebrated Fairtrade Fortnight 2009 in style by hosting their hugely successful “Fair with Flair” fashion show event.
The focus of local and global Fairtrade were highlighted on the evening by raising awareness of Fairtrade clothing and encouraging people to support local charity outlets through reuse; a particularly topical issue given the ongoing credit crunch situation!
The event, which was hosted in partnership with event sponsor, All-Tex Recyclers and venue sponsor, the Hilton Hotel, Templepatrick boasted a full house of over 300 guests to the evenings line up of entertainment.
Guests were welcomed to a Fairtrade wine and chocolate fountain reception and were then encouraged to browse the wide range of Fairtrade stalls available in the boutique area before being seated to a two part fashion show event which displayed a range of Fairtrade, charity and reuse themed clothing and accessories.
