Fishing Tours

There is something 'fishy' going on down at Lough Neagh, and local anglers are certain to be 'hooked' by what's in store!

Eager anglers can enjoy the fresh waters of the Lough, and try and catch some brown trout or salmon.Lough Neagh Fishing Tours have launched a new summer series of outings for everyone to enjoy. This is the perfect day out if you have an interest in going on a fishing trip, especially if you are not sure where to go or what to do. Even if you are a seasoned angler, this could provide the opportunity to 'tackle' a different stretch of water.

Alan Kirkpatrick and his colleagues in Lough Neagh Fishing Tours recognised that there was a gap in the market for fishing trips operating out of Antrim Lough Shore Park. With a little imagination, a bit of help from Antrim Borough Strategy Partnership and a lot of hard work, they got to work and now fishing tours are up and running.

This is an excellent opportunity for first time and seasoned anglers to sample the joys of fishing on Lough Neagh. Any of the Customer Services Advisors based at the Information Centre or Antrim Civic Centre will be happy to organise professional instruction on the art of fishing while touring Lough Neagh on the boat "Dollaghan".Lough Neagh has an abundance of fish, including salmon and brown trout.

The popular season for angling is from April to October, with coarse fish including bream, rudd, roach, perch and pike among other favourites to be found. Early booking is advised as the fishing tours are expected to be snapped up in extra quick time as this is a new venture. For further information contact Antrim Information Centre on T: 028 9442 8331.
