Summer Festival June 2008 Photographic Exhibition of W.A. Green Clotworthy Arts Centre Tuesday 3 June - Friday 27 June Antrim Historical Society is teaming up with the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum to honour the memory of renowned photographer W.A. Green who lived for many years at Dunmore House on the Belfast Road in Antrim. with an exhibition of his work in Clotworthy Arts Centre. The exhibition highlights the range of Green's work in the first half of the 20th Century, from recording daily life in towns and villages to charting industrial processes and aspects of community life that were fast disappearing and will include many images from the Antrim area. Invasive Species Training Day Saturday 7 June 11am - 3pm Alien invaders on the riverbank! As part of the Six Mile Water Training Programme, facilitated by Environment and Heritage Service, find out who they are, how they affect our local biodiversity and what we can do to help. Then, lend a hand to map, monitor and control some of the invasive plant species in the area. Lunch will be provided. Training is free of charge and suitable for all abilities (no previous experience or equipment is necessary). It may also be suitable for children over 8 years, who must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please bring boots and a waterproof coat. Torpedo Tern Day  Antrim Lough Shore Park Saturday 14 June 2-5pm Get up close and personal with Lough Neagh Common Terns. Newly arrived from their winter home off the west coast of Africa, these birds have chosen an unusual home on the Torpedo Platform in Antrim Bay. Can you tell your Common Tern from your Black-headed Gull? Don't worry if you can't, there will be some expert help on hand at the Lough Shore Park and on board the Maid of Antrim. Randalstown ARCHES Festival Saturday 14 - Saturday 22 June The impressive viaduct over the River Maine and the historical architecture of this heritage rich town is the backdrop for this popular annual Festival. A range of events catering for people of all ages aims to bring all sections of the local community together. The town will be buzzing with activities throughout the week, with the main events being the Family Fun Cycle on 16th, Street Games and the 'Duck Race' on 18th, and the 'Grand Finale' parade with floats, vintage vehicles and fancy dress on 21st. Finishing on the picturesque Randalstown Viaduct, the 3k race starts at 1pm followed by the 10k race at 2pm. This event attracts some of Northern Ireland's top runners and is a great family day out with refreshments provided.

Lough Shore Park Events during the Summer Festival Maid of Antrim Boat Trips
The best way to discover Lough Neagh is onboard the Maid of Antrim, recently restored to its former glory.
Half hourly boat trips: Wednesdays 12.30 - 6pm £3 per child, £5 per adult
Hourly boat trips: Sundays 11am - 7pm £5 per child, £8 per adult, £6 Senior Citizens
There will be a unique opportunity on Saturday 7th June from 12.30pm - 3pm to enjoy a boat trip from Antrim Lough Shore Park to Langford Lodge with a guided tour, £12 per person (light refreshments will be provided).

Pirate Boat Trips
For the 'young at heart', a trip on the miniature pirate ship is certain to shiver your timbers! Boat Trips around Antrim Bay depart regularly from Antrim Lough Shore Park. The Boat Trips are subject to weather conditions, so it is recommended you phone in advance.

Fishing Trips
Fully equipped and licensed boat available for fishing, bird watching and pleasure trips on Lough Neagh, Lough Beg and River Bann. Specialist fishing tours for dollaghan, pollen and salmon are available.
The fishing trips, organised by Lough Neagh Angling Association, are suitable for novices as well as the experienced angler.
All fishermen will be accompanied by a qualified ghillie.

Children's Entertainment
Every Sunday afternoon from 1pm-4pm during June, weather permitting, the Lough Shore Park will be the venue for children's entertainment and activities including go-karts and inflatables. With a chance to feed the swans, take a leisurely walk on the riverside path or simply enjoy lunch and an ice cream at the Lough Shore Coffee House, it's the perfect location for a fun day out.
