Do you belong to a community or voluntary group and would like to find out how you can raise money? Does the idea of not having to fill in a funding application form appeal to you? Then you should definitely come along to a Fundraising Workshop which is being held in Antrim Civic Centre on Wednesday 22 February at 7.00pm.
Kerry Brady, Community Support Officer with Antrim Borough Council says, “This two hour workshop is for people who want to learn more about how to raise money from the general public. It will provide information on how to encourage other volunteers to help out with fundraising. You will learn how to use traditional ways of fundraising more effectively, find out all about the benefits of social networking and how to develop fundraising through communities whilst ensuring that tax effectiveness is taken into account.”
Kerry continues, “In the current financial downturn, funding is more competitive than ever and increasingly important to the community and voluntary sector. This is definitely an opportunity which groups shouldn’t miss!”
Groups can send up to two members along to this free session. As demand is sure to be high, we would encourage you to register early to avoid disappointment. Contact Tracy on T: 028 9446 3113 ext. 1342 or E: tracy.hefferon@antrim.gov.uk to reserve your place.
