Pip Utton returns to Clotworthy following his delightful portrayal of screen legend Charlie Chaplin in Chaplin where he stepped in and out of the silver screen! His new show is an even more ambitious undertaking as he presents the first one-man theatrical adaptation of The War of the Worlds. This exciting and challenging piece of theatre uses Jeff Wayne's soundtrack and the classic original unabridged script. It is now 30 years since Jeff's 'War of the Worlds' album was released and,not only is this the first one man performance of the work but it is the first time that the full original script has been performed live. One of the most innovative projects of it's time, the musical version of The War of the Worlds took longer to create than the actual novel but, like the HG Wells classic, the album's appeal has continued on. Join Pip as he brings this timeless science fiction classic to life! The War of the Worlds by Pip Utton Theatre Company will be at Clotworthy Arts Centre on Thursday 13th November at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6/ £4 concession and are available from Reception on 028 9448 1338.
